The Flames took care of the Red Wings last night 5-1, but it wasn’t without some drama. In the third period Elias Lindholm and Darren Helm (both had goals) got tangled up after a face-off and then it got ugly. Lindholm APPEARED (the camera angle was inconclusive) to get Helm up high with an elbow. Helm, naturally took offence to this and wildly chopped at the back of Lindholm’s leg. The Flames centre would leave the ice and not return, same story for Helm. Though they both left for different reasons. Lindholm, clearly hurt, didn’t return due to injury. Darren Helm spent the rest of the night in the dressing room due to a game misconduct. After reviewing the play on a tablet, the officials assessed Linholm a two minute elbowing penalty for his troubles.
So, with all that out of the way we want to know who’s to blame for that entire mess? Lindholm? Helm? Both? Vote in our poll below and let us know what you think!
