Calgary Flames 4 - Chicago Blackhawks 3
The Flames went toe to toe with the Chicago Blackhawks and come out on the winning end of a 4-3 decision Monday night. There wasn’t much defence to be seen at the United Center as the teams combined for seven goals on 78 shots. Calgary now has swept the last two season series from Chicago, going 6-0-0 over the last two years. Here’s the rest of the best of what wasn’t covered in our recap or Rate The Flames.
Tidbits
-300 Club: Mark Giordano picked up his 300th career helper with an assist on Johnny Gaudreau’s third period goal.
-50 Shades of Chucky: Matthew Tkachuk collected his 50th point of the season with his assist on Sean Monahan’s second period goal. That’s the first time Tkachuk has reached the 50 point mark in his career.
-Put It On Their Tab: The Flames scored 2 more third period goals last night, upping their total to 65 on the season.
