Calgary Flames 3 - Buffalo Sabres 4 (OT)
When you give up three straight goals on three straight shots, bad things are going to happen. With that said, it’s tough to hang this one on David Rittich. The Flames goalie had some bad luck happen in front of him and at the other end of the ice Linus Ullmark made three ridiculous saves that kept Flames pucks out of the net. Here’s the rest of the best of what wasn’t covered in our recap or Rate The Flames.
Tidbits
-200: Derek Ryan reached a career milestone by playing in his 200th game last night.
-17 Is Tops At Home: Matthew Tkachuk’s 24th goal of the year in the third period was his 17th at the Saddledome this season. That’s the most goals an NHL player has scored at home so far this season.
-EICHEL!: Jack Eichel did the Flames in AGAIN in overtime. This is the second straight time the Flames and Sabres have gone to OT at the Saddledome and the second straight time he’s sent the Flames to the locker room angry.
