#21: Adam Ruzicka

Position: Centre

Age: 19

Team: Sarnia Sting (OHL)

Drafted in 2017, 4th Round, Pick 109

Last Year Ranking: N/A

Voting Points: 468

In his first year with the Flames organization, Adam Ruzicka has moved to #21 on our Top 25 Under 25 list. Ruzicka was the second pick of last year’s draft class for the Flames after Juuso Valimaki.

Ruzicka’s point totals with Sarnia saw a big improvement this year as he finished with 36 goals and 36 assists in 63 regular season games. In 2016-17, he had 25 goals and 21 assists in 61 games.

However Ruzicka struggled once the playoffs came around where he only put up three assists in 12 games as Sarnia was knocked out in the second round of the OHL Playoffs.

Ruzicka has played for Slovakia at the World Juniors the last two seasons and will probably take a leadership role on the team next season with him being one of the marquee Slovak prospects.

Ruzicka will look to take another step forward in 2018-19 with Sarnia, and he’s still a long term project.
