Individual Grades

MarkParkinson14: (B) Despite being an unpopular “send down” at the start of the season, Mark Jankowski kicked down the doors in Calgary and proved that he belonged on the Flames NHL roster. The controversial draft pick, who has been a project waiting to happen, collected 25 points in his first full NHL season. While showing promise in the offensive end of the rink is one thing, Janko’s skating ability has shown him to be a pretty decent two way centre as well.

MGMacGillivray: (B) The long wait finally ended with Mark Jankowski becoming a full time NHLer this season. While his point totals didn’t exactly blow you away, he showed a lot of promise as a strong two-way centre for the Flames. He picked up some decent chemistry with Sam Bennett as the season continued, and hopefully Brad Treliving can find them another solid winger to put on their right side to hopefully increase their point totals next year. His four goal night against Vegas was still one of the highlights of the year.

MilhouseFirehouse: (B) Hopefully Janko will find a permanent spot at 3C, and there’s no reason right now to think he won’t. Even with his (expected) ups and downs he had an impressive looking rookie campaign.
