Here’s the rest of the “best” that wasn’t covered in the Recap or Rate The Flames from last night’s 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
First For Foo
After all his hard work, Spencer Foo was finally rewarded. Foo netted his first NHL goal 15 minutes into the 2nd period, getting Calgary their only goal of the night. Foo once again was tied for the lead on SOG for the Flames with 6.
Speaking Of Goals
The Flames scored once last night. It’s the 8th loss in a row where they’ve lost and scored 2 goals or less (they’ve been shut out 3 times over that span). And they’ve only scored 2 goals once, back on March 19th.
Power Play
Calgary went 0-2 on the power play last night, stretching their futility to 13 straight games without a PPG.
Tip Your Cap
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced last night, earning himself his 43rd win of the season. The victory ties him with Tom Barrasso (1992-93) for the most wins by an American netminder during the regular season. He can break that record Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks if he collects his 44th win.
