Here’s the rest of the “best” of what wasn’t covered in our Recap or Rate The Flames from Calgary’s 4-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes last night.
We Have A First!
Nick Shore scored his first goal with the Calgary Flames last night. His marker at 4:32 of the second period was his 5th of the season and the Flames lone goal of the night.
Another Rough Goaltending Performance
Jon Gillies struggled last night for the Flames, giving up 4 goals on 21 shots. Sure, 2 of them (Andersson and Frolik) were deflected, but when you give up 2 goals on 6 shots to start it’s a bad sign right off the bat.
Speaking Of Shots...
Calgary WAY out shot the Coyotes last night (43-21), but they couldn’t solve Antti Raanta. Calgary poured 43 shots (7 from Spencer Foo) at the Arizona keeper, yet they only found the back of the net once. Anyone seen this movie before?
Splittsville
The Flames loss last night was their second straight to the Coyotes, which gave the Flames an even split with Arizona this season. The last time these two had an even split was in 2012. The Flames only have 4 winning seasons against Arizona in the last 10 years.
Highlight Of The Night
Post Game Reaction
