Fan Poll Friday: Would You Trade Sam Bennett?

Is it time for the Flames and Bennett to break it off?

NHL: Edmonton Oilers at Calgary Flames Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

Fan Poll Friday

Sam Bennett just finished up his 3rd pro season and saw his point totals (26) stay the same as they were in 2016-17. The only problem is he played all 82 games this year and that point total is 10 points short of his best point total (36) from 2015-16.

Bennett bounced around the lineup and never really found a permanent/successful home. The Flames have no picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft and they need a few. Is Bennett a piece the Flames could/should move to recoup some of the picks they’ve dealt away? Bennett’s numbers clearly won’t get the Flames a 1st round pick, but he could be packaged with other assets to get Calgary some draft picks. He’s under contract for next season at $1.95 million dollars and that’s still a “bargain” for a kid taken with the #4 overall pick.

So, we’re asking you: what should the Flames do with Sam Bennett? Vote in our poll below!
