The Flames have dropped 7 straight and they’ve done some or most of it in spectacular fashion. During this current losing streak Calgary has allowed the opposition to collect a hat trick 3 times. Evander Kane has victimized the Flames. William Karlsson has victimized the Flames. And Pierre-Luc Dubois is the latest player to put 3 in against the Flames. 3 hat tricks in 7 games, not good.

While all that looks bad, you have to look at Saturday to feel REALLY gross about the schedule. Connor McDavid and the Oilers come to town Saturday night for the final time of the 2017-18 season. On October 3rd, opening night, McDavid scored all 3 goals for Edmonton in a 3-0 victory over the Flames. Yes, that’s a hat trick. In his last 5 games McDavid has 13 points and 6 goals in his last 4. Gross (OK and slightly impressive).
