Fan Poll Friday
The Flames loss to the Ducks Wednesday night effectively ended their season seeing they won’t be making the playoffs. Calgary has 7 games left to play for pride, stats and jobs. The last is the most important and could have major implications for the franchise moving forward.
Glen Gulutzan’s job clearly will be in the cross-hairs this off season. Gulutzan took a playoff team from a year ago and failed to get them back to the post season this year. He’s been stubborn and stuck by players and systems that didn’t work. Dave Cameron is another person that might want to update his resume. The “master” of the Flames power play has been highly ineffective this season and his units have cost Calgary games all year long.
Then there’s management. Sure, Gulutzan and crew didn’t have the best season, but they were playing what they were dealt. Bred Treliving (to be fair the Gaudreau, Monahan and Backlund deals were genius) was the guy who moved heaven and Earth to get Travis Hamonic who underachieved for a good chunk of the season. He’s also the person who brought in Troy Brouwer and refused to admit/see that mistake. BT is also the reason the Flames don’t have any picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft this year. Brian Burke? Does anyone even know what he does?
What about the players? Troy Brouwer needs to be bought out. T.J. Brodie had a miserable season. Is it time for the Flames to get something for Mark Giordano before he goes the way of Jarome Iginla? Is it time to cut bait with an under performing and underachieving Sam Bennett?
So many questions and this is where Fan Poll Friday is fun and let’s you become the GM! Vote in our poll below to decide what the Flames should do next!

Get rid of Brian Burke.
Just move on from everyone from the front office to the coaching staff.
Trades, buyouts, more trades.
Leave it as it is and hope it gets better because I’m clearly insane.
Burn it to the ground.
