Fan Poll Friday

It’s been a little over 2 weeks since the NHL trade deadline and the Flames newest acquisitions have gotten some ice time since arriving. Chris Stewart has seen a little more playing time, but Nick Shore has finally laced them up since coming over from Ottawa.

Stewart has seen the ice 3 times and he’s been in varying roles. The most ice time he’s seen came in his first game with Calgary back on February 27th in a 2-0 loss to Dallas. In that game Chris Stewart saw ATOI of 13:03, mainly because he was placed on the top line with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Since that game he’s come back to earth, playing on the 3rd and 4th line and his ice time has adjusted accordingly.

Nick Shore has only hit the ice for 2 games and he’s been relegated to bottom six duty. The most ice time he has seen was in Calgary’s 1-0 win over Edmonton. In that game Shore’s ATOI was 12:40, almost 90 seconds more than in his Flames debut against the NY Rangers.

Neither player has produced a point, but neither has been really terrible either. Each player seems to blend in right now, but the sample size is VERY small. So, we’re asking you what YOU think of the Flames newest additions. Vote in our poll below!
