Calgary Flames at New York Rangers [Game 55]

We're going streaking?

Fresh off of an overtime victory against the New Jersey Devils that at times proved tumultuous, the Calgary Flames head to Manhattan to take on the New York Rangers. The Flames didn’t look stellar against an abysmal Devils team and will need to be considerably better tonight to get the victory. Dennis Wiseman was particularly bad last game as he was partially at fault for two goals against and in the penalty box for a third (though the penalty was quite bogus).

The forwards look the same tonight. Those looking forward to seeing the return of Garnet Hathaway will have to wait another night. It’s hard to see who would come out of the lineup at this point anyway.

On defense, Brett Kulak is still out in favour of Dennis Wideman and Jyrki Jokipakka. Both of those players are inferior, one being a has been and the other a never will be. One can only assume he threw Glen Gulutzan’s dog off of a bridge or something.

Brian Elliott is back in net. Chad Johnson will back him up. It’s standard issuance it seems.

Go Flames Go.
