As the title of the article states, today we’ll be asking the fans who they think the Flames single most important duo is on the the team. Not your favorite duo, but the duo that you think is the MOST responsible for the Flames success. The duo you would keep if you could only keep one out of the four.

We’ll be giving you four different options to chose from with a short reason for each.

Option 1: Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan

The dynamic top line duo has been filling the net all year for the Flames.

Option 2: Matthew Tkachuk and Mikael Backlund

Tkachuk has become a premier agitator in the NHL but is also backing that up with points. Is there anything Backlund doesn’t do well?

Option 3: Mark Giordano and Dougie Hamilton

One of the NHL’s best pairings of the last two and a half years, they’ve solidified the Flames D core at times when it’s looked shaky this season.

Option 4: Mike Smith and David Rittich

The Flames have lacked quality goaltending for some time now, but these two have arguably formed one of the league’s top five tandems this season.

It’s now time to get to the poll, once you vote feel free to leave the reason why you voted in one of our various comment sections because we feel like this could be an interesting topic to discuss.
