#Flames will be without Mikael Backlund vs. #Predators tomorrow and #Oilers on Sunday. Bill Peters is not sure when he’ll be back. Big loss.

The Flames will be without their second line center after suffering a concussion late in Thursday’s game against the Wild. Mikael Backlund left the game immediately and did not return. He suffered a late and questionable hit in the third period from Minnesota’s Matt Dumba and has now been ruled out at least the next two games for concussion protocol. He’ll miss Saturday’s battle for first place in the West against the Nashville Predators, and Sunday’s Battle of Alberta rematch against the Edmonton Oilers. According to Heaqd Coach Bill Peters he’ll be re-evaluated after the weekend and the team will go from there.
The team is expected to make a call-up from Stockton to fill the roster spot in the meantime.
