The Calgary Flames went into Winnipeg on their first day back after the Christmas break. A tall task alone, but with the team riding a three game losing streak and the Jets being 13-4-2 at home, it was going to be a challenge.
Luckily Calgary was propelled by a hat trick from Johnny Gaudreau (hoping he’s alright after that dirty slash) and an absolutely spectacular night from David Rittich. Those two led the way as the Flames picked up a crucial 4-1 victory.
Post-Game update from the Flames say Gaudreau is fine.
