Calgary Flames at Winnipeg Jets (Game 38)

The Calgary Flames are back after their brief Christmas hiatus and are set to take on the Winnipeg Jets. The Flames and Jets are each in first place coming into this one giving Canada some hope that it can finally capture that elusive Stanley Cup. Puck drop is at 6:00 P.M. M.S.T.

David Rittich is back in net. Mike Smith has been unreliable and the Flames may need to look elsewhere for a backup if he keeps playing as he has. He's been one of the five worst goalies in the league in GSAA.

Austin Czarnik, Ryan Lomberg, and Dalton Prout are all healthy scratches tonight. Scratching Czarnik over Alan Quine and Garnet Hathaway continues to be quite perplexing. Lomberg and Prout are not NHL caliber players.
