Calgary Flames 6 - Philadelphia Flyers 5 (OT)
Was it pretty? Nope. Was it awesome? YOU BETCHA! Calgary came into the final two minutes down by two goals and came out winners, 6-5 in OT. Sean Monahan had a three point (2G 1A) night. Johnny Gaudreau had a three point (1G 2A) night. Matthew Tkachuk had a four point (4A) night. Mark Giordano had a three point (1G 2A) night. Not too shabby. Here’s the rest of the best that wasn’t covered in the recap or Rate The Flames.
Tidbits
-We’ve Got A First!: Rasmus Andersson picked a GREAT time to score his 1st career NHL goal. Andersson’s first of his career got the Flames within one goal and allowed them to continue that momentum which tied and won the game.
-The Money Man: Sean Monahan scored his 19th and 20th goals on the season last night. He now has scored 20 goals in six straight seasons.
-7: That’s now seven third period comebacks for the Flames, putting them one ahead of Buffalo for the most during the 2018-19 season.
-3: Calgary has three OT game winners. All three belong to Johnny Gaudreau.
