Calgary Flames 0 Vegas Golden Knights 2
The Flames trip to the desert started with a 2-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights Friday afternoon. David Rittich was outstanding as usual, but for the first time in a while the team in front of him was a no show. Calgary’s winning streak is now stopped at 3 and the Flames are currently in 2nd place in the Pacifc, 1 point behind the San Jose Sharks. Here’s the rest of the best of what wasn’t covered in the recap or Rate The Flames.
Tidbits
-First: The Vegas Golden Knights shut out the Flames last night. This is the first time Calgary has landed a goose egg in the goals column all season long.
-Fleury Masterful: Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 29 shots he faced giving hm him his 4th win in 5 tries against Calgary. In those 4 wins he’s allowed only 5 goals and has 2 shutouts.
-100th: Alex Tuch had a goal and an assist last night which impressive. More impressive is that he notched the 2 points in a milestone game, the 100th of his career.
