Fan Poll Friday: Bennett the....Enforcer?

Could Bennett’s role with the Flames be something completely different than what he was drafted for?

Fan Poll Friday

Sam Bennett got into a little scuffle last night during Calgary’s 6-5 victory over the Colorado Avalanche at the Scotiabank Saddledome. After Ian Cole laid a HUGE, but legal hit on Mark Jankowski, Bennett immediately dropped the gloves and handled his business against Cole. That got us thinking here: could Bennett’s role be something completely different than what he was drafted for? As the #4 overall pick in 2014 everyone thought he’d be a dynamic talent on offence, but that side of his game hasn’t shown at all. One area where Bennett does excel is in throwing down in game. Bennett’s fights are always entertaining and he never gets cheated that’s for sure. So, we’re asking: could Bennett’s role with the team be that of the muscle as opposed to the slick goal scorer? Vote in our poll below!
