Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames [Game 21]

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

The Calgary Flames have their eyes on first place in the Pacific as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights. The Flames have a game and hand on the San Jose Sharks and trail them by two points. The Sharks don’t play until tomorrow and they can knot it up with a victory tonight.

David Rittich is back in net tonight and seems to have won the starters roll. Mike Smith has been one of the worst goalies in the league so far this season while Rittich has been one of the best. There’s no reason to not ride the hot hand, but if Smith continues to play the way he has then he won’t even be useful as a backup.

No changes are being made to tonight’s lineup. Dalton Prout, Michael Stone, and Austin Czarnik will all be watching tonight’s game from the press box as healthy scratches. Tonight’s game starts at 7:00 P.M. M.S.T.
