Calgary Flames at Buffalo Sabres [Game 13]

Published

on

The Calgary Flames are headed stateside for a day as they take on the Buffalo Sabres during their brief two game road trip. The Flames played arguably their best game of the year yesterday against the Toronto Maple Leafs and came away with a three to one victory. It was one of the few games where the Flames offense, defense, and goaltending all clicked together.

The Sabres haven’t been the same team that they’ve been in years past. They come in at 6-4-1 which ties the Flames in points with one fewer game played. Additionally, the Sabres have the advantage in rest – they’ve not played since Saturday and the schedule makers may have well built this one in as a loss for the Flames.

The only change to the lineup tonight comes in net. David Rittich will man the pipes while Mike Smith gets the night off. Austin Czarnik, Dalton Prout, and Michael Stone will be healthy scratches tonight.

Puck drop is at 5:00 P.M. M.S.T.
