Calgary Flames 3 Toronto Maple Leafs 1

The Flames snapped a 3 game losing skid with a 3-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Flames got a great defensive performance all around and the top line lead the way offensively to the get Calgary get back on the winning track. Here’s the rest of the best of what wasn’t covered in the recap or Rate The Flames.

Tidbits

-Streaking: The Flames win in Toronto was their first since 2011, a stretch of 6 straight losses at the Leafs home barn.

-Johnny Just Gaudreau’n: Gaudreau had an assist on Elias Lindholm’s 8th goal of the season, giving him a point in 9 of the Flames 12 games.

-Fair Trade: The trade to get Lindholm to Calgary appears to be working out.....very well. Elias Lindholm scored his 8th goal of the season last night. 8 goals puts the Flames centre in a 5 way tie with Connor McDavid, Alex Ovechkin, Kyle Palmieri and Alex DeBrincat. Not bad company.
