Calgary Flames 1 Pittsburgh Penguins 9
We’ll keep it short because there really isn’t much to say after that debacle at the Saddledome. Here’s the rest of the “best” from Calgary’s 9-1 loss to the Penguins that wasn’t covered in the recap or Rate The Flames.
Tidbits
-Worst Loss: The 9-1 loss to the Penguins was the Flames worst loss since a 9-0 loss to the Bruins in Boston back on January 5, 2012.
-Loss At Home: This is the Flames worst loss at home since 1996, when the Flames lost 10-1 to the Oilers at the Dome on November 26, 1996.
-Dreadful Special Teams: The PP futility keeps a’growin’. The Flames were 0-3 against the Penguins, making them 1 for their last 24. Brutal.
-Where’s Mony?: Sean Monahan went without a goal tonight, making it 6 straight games where he hasn’t lit the lamp.
