Calgary Flames 5 Boston Bruins 2

Well, that was some kind of hockey game! The Flames and Bruins each took turns setting the pace in this game, but a big first period from Calgary set the Flames up with a 3 goal lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Here’s the rest of the best in what wasn’t covered in the recap or Rate The Flames.

Tidbits

-Numero Juuso: Juuso Valimaki scored his first NHL goal of his career in the first period giving Calgary a 3-0 lead.

-100: Johnny Gaudreau’s goal at 15:20 of the first period was his 100th career NHL goal.

-Speaking Of Gaudreau: Gaudreau left the game in the 3rd period after a borderline hit from the Bruins Charlie McAvoy. Accoridng to SportsNet 960 Gaudreau was pulled from the game by the concussion spotters.

-Tops: The Bruins top line scored twice in the game (Bergeron & Marchand), keeping them as the top scoring line in the NHL (30 points).
