Boston Bruins at Calgary Flames [Game 6]

Published

on

The Calgary Flames are back at home in an east-west battle as they take on the Boston Bruins. The Flames come in to this contest with a record of 3-2 which is good for third in the Pacific. The Bruins are 4-1 and are currently second in the Atlantic.

The Flames are going to make some changes to the lineup tonight as Michael Frolik jumps back in and reunites with the 3M line. Austin Czarnik heads down to the fourth line where he’ll play with Derek Ryan and Anthony Peluso. Dillon Dube is out for tonight’s contest in what the Flames described as a maintenance day. Mark Jankowski will get the start in his place while Garnet Hathaway also gets a healthy scratch.

Mike Smith returns between the pipes. David Rittich was quite good after the first minute of the Flames three to two victory over the Colorado Avalanche in their last contest and some thought he played well enough to start again tonight, but that will not be the case. Smith will need to be better than his last performance – he gave up five goals in 24 shots and that’s not going to win many games.

Puck drop is at 7:30 P.M. M.S.T.
