Calgary Flames at St. Louis Blues [Game 4]

Published

on

The Calgary Flames journey to the mid-west continues as they take on the St. Louis Blues. So far they’re undefeated in the states in a very small sample size as they just defeated the Nashville Predators by a score of three to nothing. It was the Flames worst analytical game of the season, but Mike Smith managed to return to form and had a magnificent performance and carried the Flames to victory.

St. Louis does not look to be any type of slouch in their own right. They lost Carter Hutton in the offseason which may hurt them depending on which version of Jake Allen they get (and so far the Jake Allen they’ve gotten has been nothing short of horrendous), but the addition of Ryan O’Reilly should help them out tremendously. They’re quite comparable to the Flames in that they are both teams that did well enough analytically last season, but they didn’t have the finishers on the team to make the playoffs as they sold at the deadline and narrowly missed out – this should be a tremendous game.

There shouldn’t be any changes to the lineup tonight unless Dillon Dube is to injured to play in which case he will be replaced with Mark Jankowski. Anthony Peluso played surprisingly well in his limited minutes and will be back on the fourth line. Dalton Prout stays on the bench where he should remain if he even stays with the Flames at all.

Puck drop is at 6:00 P.M. M.S.T.
