According to a tweet from Elliotte Friedman, Freddie Hamilton has been claimed by the Arizona Coyotes this afternoon.

The Flames placed the elder Hamilton on waivers yesterday and most assumed that meant a trip to California to be with the Heat. In a shocking turn of events the rarely used winger was claimed by the Coyotes instead.
Freddie Hamilton played in only 8 games with the Flames this season, notching 1 assist in very limited action.
The Flames did make a roster move today, recalling Marek Hrivik from Stockton.
