While not Sam Bennett or the seemingly coveted Jaromir Jagr, the Flames have inked another player today....Tyler Wotherspoon.

The 2011 draft pick is back in Calgary for 1 year at $650k....if he stays with the Flames. The new contract is a two way deal that will find the 24 year old defenceman making $125k if he finds himself in Stockton, clearly some incentive to make the big club.
Wotherspoon only suited up for the Flames in 4 games last season, but had a successful stint with the Heat in 2016-17. There he played in 56 games, had 18 points, registered 24 PIM and was a +30. He joins an already crowded blue line in Calgary that really only needs one spot filled.
