The Flames added to their training camp roster today by signing Joseph Cramarossa to a PTO. Cramarossa started last season with the Anaheim Ducks before being claimed on waivers midway through the season by the Vancouver Canucks.
Cramarossa made his NHL debut last season, playing a total of 59 games while putting up four goals and six assists. He also had a noticeable edge in his game putting up 60 PIM. Prior to last season he spent three seasons in the AHL again primarily as a grinder.
He’s likely just a body for camp but with it looking like there could be a few open spots at the bottom of the lineup, he could make a push for one.
Personally, I really liked his style of play last season in the limited time seeing him play, but it’s up to him to prove himself at camp.
