Calgary Flames at Los Angeles Kings [Game 81]

Better play better in front of Gillies

The Calgary Flames take back to the ice after getting into a bunch of ruckus with the Anaheim Ducks and falling in the third period. Their California trip continues tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Kings. The Flames aren't exactly playing well since they've clinched a playoff spot and while these games don't necessarily mean much, it would be nice to see a bit better play.

Lance Bouma and Matt Stajan are out tonight in favour of Curtis Lazar and Freddie Hamilton. Lazar had struggled with the Ottawa Senators and expecting him to improve next to Hamilton and Brouwer is utter hogwash and completely unfair to him. The defensive pairings will remain the same.

Jon Gillies is in net for the net now that Chad Johnson is injured. Brian Elliott will back him up should he falter a bit too much. They'll be up against Ben Bishop instead of Jonathan Quick. Quick was chased last game in a laugher that favoured the Flames – let's hope they do the same tonight.
