The Lady Byng Trophy is awarded to the NHL player who exhibits sportsmanship and high quality of play. Gaudreau certainly fits the mold. In 2016-17 Gaudreau played in 72 games, amassing 61 points and a scant 4 PIM. Other nominees for the Lady Byng this season are Minnesota's Mikael Granlund and St. Louis Blues' forward Vladimir Tarasenko.
Two years ago Jiri Hudler took home the Lady Byng Trophy while with the Flames.
