Johnny Gaudreau Is Heading To Europe.....

this summer to play with Team USA in the World Championships.

NHL: Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

It was announced this afternoon that Johnny Gaudreau would be heading to Paris this summer to play for Team USA in the World Championships.

Johnny Gaudreau and the Flames just finished the 2016-17 season by being swept by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the playoffs. Gaudreau’s play in the series has been criticized by some as he had only 2 points in the 4 games the Flames played. Gaudreau’s regular season was another story all together. He played in 72 games and scored 18 goals and had 43 assists. The last time Gaudreau played internationally was before this season in the World Cup Of Hockey for Team North America. There he had 4 points in 3 games.

According to Sportsnet, Flames captain Mark Giordano is also considering heading to Paris to play for Team Canada.
