Ducks at Flames [First Round – Game 3]

Down 0-2 is not good

The Calgary Flames are back at home away from that building who’s name shall not be named. They’ll hope to draw a bit closer against the Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome. While the only games that are must wins are ones where the opposing team has three victories, this is as close to a must win as it can get.

There will once again be no changes to the lineup. This comes despite some people strangely clamouring for Dennis Wideman to play over certain Flames defensemen that committed bad penalties. He’ll be one of the scratches for tonight along with Freddie Hamilton and Curtis Lazar.

The goalies for tonight will also be the same for both teams. Jon Gillies is now back with the Stockton Heat preparing for their series against the San Jose Barracuda (Still a terrible team name). Goaltending has not been a concern for either team.

The Flames have had the better go of it at even strength, but penalties have been a concern. They are averaging the most penalties per minute in the playoffs and the Ducks have managed to capitalize. Hopefully back at home they'll be able to play a more disciplined game and take home a W.
