Flames at Ducks [First Round – Game 2]

The Honda Curse continues

Published

on

Try though they might, the Calgary Flames failed to take out the Anaheim Ducks in game one at the Honda Center. Many were less than impressed with the officiating to say the least, but this is the NHL where vigilante justice seemingly reigns supreme until random penalties are called, so who should be surprised? They’ll go after it again in game two as they hope to even it up.

There will be no changes to the lineup which means that the healthy scratches will once again be Freddie Hamilton, Curtis Lazar, and Dennis Wideman. There’s nothing two overwhelmingly surprising about this even if some are calling for changes after a single playoff game. The lines and pairs should remain the same as well.

Chad Johnson is back as the backup tonight. Brian Elliott will once again get the start. John Gibson will get the start for the Ducks.
