Flames at Ducks [First Round – Game 1]

Round One – Fight!

Published

on

The regular season has officially come to a close and the Calgary Flames are out in Anaheim as they take on the Anaheim Ducks for the first two games of their Stanley Cup playoffs. To say that the Flames have not had a lot of success at the Honda Center would be an understatement – They have just eight wins in fifty attempts and have their third lowest points percentage by stadium there. They’ll look to break their string of bad luck there tonight and get the first round off on the right foot.

The lines have returned to some semblance of normal tonight. All the regular forwards and defensemen will be present in the lineup. Curtis Lazar, Freddie Hamilton, and Dennis Wideman will make up the scratches.

Chad Johnson is still out with injury for tonight’s game, but the team has noted that he’s made some progress. Still, should the Flames need anybody in case of an injury, it’s probably not best to turn to a guy that isn’t 100 percent. If they do need a backup goalie, there will be bigger problems anyway.
