Calgary Flames at Winnipeg Jets [Game 68]

Dennis Wideman is back and zero people are thrilled about it.

The Calgary Flames eight game winning streak gets put to the test against the Winnipeg Jets tonight. The Flames downed the Canadiens on Wednesday by a score of five to nothing in a game that saw the Habs stuck with their backup in net surprisingly. Tonight’s game has features the ultimate test – Dennis Wideman is going to have to play.

Mark Stone is nursing an injury which is why Wideman is back in the lineup. The Flames have yet to lose a game with Wideman out, so this is the ultimate test. He’ll be on the third pairing with Matt Bartkowski.

The rest of the lineup looks the same for Calgary. Hopefully the Wideman hex is just rubbish and the Flames can overcome the numbers and put away a Jets team that simply isn't that good and has been hurt by lackluster goaltending on top of that. The odds are in the Flames favour.

Brian Elliott is back in net tonight and has become the staple in net. Chad Johnson will be his trusty backup. Connor Hellebuyck is in net for the Jets. Puck drops now!
