Los Angeles Kings at Calgary Flames [Game 64]

Finally back home

To say that the Calgary Flames road trip was a success would be an understatement. They’re now back at home tonight at the ScotiaBank Saddledome as they go and take on the Los Angeles Kings, a team that’s currently chasing them in the standings. Pick drop is at seven P.M. M.S.T.

The lines and pairings last game were firing on all cylinders and they aren’t going to mess with that success tonight. They’re staying the same. Johnny Gaudreau was a goal short of a hat trick in his last game as he picked up the third star of the week. Hopefully he continues that momentum.

Brian Elliott performed quite well and he gets the start tonight. He’ll go up against the Kings shiny new toy in Ben Bishop. Bishop to Calgary was a very strong rumour shortly before the Kings tabbed him as a rental for the rest of the year. Bishop is now playing for a contract as he’ll almost certainly be a free agent – that could be good or bad for the Flames.
