Jyrki Jokipakka Placed On Waivers

One shoe has dropped on the Flames blue line after Calgary added two defenceman in the last 2 weeks.

According to Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan, Calgary has placed Jyrki Jokipakka on waivers:

Jokipakka has been a healthy scratch for the last 8 games and the additions of Michael Stone and Matt Bartkowski pretty much sealed his fate. Calgary traded for Jokipakka last season, but he never performed to what the Flames expected after coming over from Dallas. This season Jokipakka played in 38 games, registering 1 goal and 5 assists.
