Johnny Gaudreau is the NHL’s 3rd Star of the Week

He was a big factor in four Flames wins

NHL: Calgary Flames at Carolina Hurricanes James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

Johnny Gaudreau finally began to silence his critics this week turning out four solid ROAD performances that all led to Flames victories. In the process he was named the NHL’s 3rd Star of the Week.

Gaudreau had four assists against Nashville, an assist against Tampa Bay, and two goals and an assist against Carolina to give him eight points on the week. He’s also led the Flames in points for the month of February with 12, although this streak really helped him salvage what had been a poor month by his standards.

Gaudreau will attempt to stay hot this week as the Flames return to Calgary for a four games homestand.

It’s interesting though, one week of Micheal Ferland on the top line, and suddenly Gaudreau is a star of the week. Maybe let’s keep them together?
