The Calgary Flames are back in action on the road as they take on the Nashville Predators. They’re about 3/4ths of the way through the season and points are getting precious as they try and hold off the Los Angeles Kings for the final spot in the playoffs. They’ll look to pick up two important ones tonight.

Troy Brouwer is back on Sean Monahan’s wing, but all of the same forwards are in action tonight. Kris Versteeg is on line three while Micheal Ferland is back to the fourth line. Garnet Hathaway was returned to the Stockton Heat tonight and Freddie Hamilton gets the healthy scratch.

The Flames new prized possession in Michael Stone makes his debut for the Flames tonight alongside Matt Bartkowski. Jyrki Jokipakka and Dennis Wideman are both scratched, something that most fans will certainly celebrate. Stone and Bartkowski are hardly stellar in their own right, but they have a very low bar to clear.

Brian Elliott gets the start tonight against Pekka Rinne. Elliott is having himself a rough year as he carryies an adjusted Fenwick save percentage of -.52. Chad Johnson has been considerably better at +.9, but Elliott it is tonight. Rinne isn’t very good in his own right, so this could be a high scoring affair.
