Flames Send Brett Kulak to Stockton

The Flames make room on their roster for Bartkowski

As expected, Brett Kulak has been assigned to the Stockton Heat of the AHL to make room on the roster for the signing of Matt Bartkowski.

This will be Kulak’s second trip to the minors of the season. He was most recently sent down on December 8th, only to be called back to Calgary on January 9.

Kulak has played 21 games for the Flames this season, registering 3 assists, 12 PIM, and a -3 rating. He has also played 11 games for the Heat, with 1 goal, 4 assists, 6 PIM, and a -2.

Bartkowski will likely slot into his pairing for the time being, but it will be interesting to see what the Flames choose to do with their defence core moving forward.
