At long last our national (international?) nightmare is over. The 2017-2018 season has finally arrived with its first Western Conference game coming in the battle of Alberta. The festivities kick off tonight at 8:00 P.M. M.S.T. in Edmonton.
There are no fancy tables tonight, no statistics, none of that. Tonight everybody has a clean slate as they hope to get their season off on the right foot and cement themselves as regulars for their respective teams. Feel free to check out the lineups here.
There will be some new faces in the lineup. Tanner Glass makes his debut for the Calgry Flames as a fourth line winger while Travis Hamonic debuts on the second pairing. Jaromir Jagr signed with the team earlier today, but will not play.
Tonight's game will be televised nationally on Sportsnet. Those wishing to catch the audio version can do so on SN960 the FAN. Don't forget to check out the opponents at The Copper & Blue.
