Calgary Inferno Update: The Inferno Are On A Roll

The Inferno opened their season on October 22nd and it’s been smooth sailing for them so far. The Inferno are 3-0-1 and are currently in third place in the CWHL behind the Markham Thunder and Les Canadiennes Montreal.

Calgary started the season with a trip to Boston for a weekend series with the Blades on October 22-23 and took both contests. The Inferno won the Saturday night tilt 3-1 behind a 2 goal performance from Sophie Shirley and Sunday afternoon they took down Boston 5-2 with a 45 shot performance and 2 points from Rhianna Kurio.

The Inferno’s next two games saw the team open up at home with a 4-3 OT loss to Kunlun on Saturday Oct 28th, but they managed to rebound and beat Red Star 4-1 on Sunday thanks in part to a 26 save performance by Delayne Brian.
