Nashville Predators at Calgary Flames [Game 48]

Published

on

Fresh off of a five to two victory over the Florida Panthers, the Calgary Flames return to the ice to take on the Nashville Predators. Nashville has struggled, had horrible goaltending, and currently aren’t on track to make the playoffs. They’ll also be without P.K. Subban.

The only change for Calgary will be Sam Bennett drawing a healthy scratch in favour of Freddie Hamilton. Bennett has hardly been stellar this year, but the move is still peculiar – he’s considerably better than Hamilton and a few others locked in the lineup. That’s a story for another time, however.

The defense will remain the same as the Flames continue to try and fit square pegs into round holes. Jyrki Jokipakka – bad, but constantly in. Dennis Wideman – a little bit better, but forcing T.J. Brodie to the left side – also bad. Brett Kulak – seemingly good, but scratched. It’s maddening really.

Chad Johnson has control of the crease again. That’s not particularly surprising. He’s been strong, Brian Elliott has been anything but.

Let's go Flames!
