The Calgary Flames and Brian Elliott like so much of what they’ve seen of each other they want to stay together for a while:

Elliott came over to the Flames during the 2016 NHL Draft via trade with the St. Louis Blues and was looked at as the goalie of today until Jon Gillies was ready to make the jump. Elliott was a rock for the Blues since he joined them back in 2011-12. He posted career bests while he was in St. Louis and compiled a record of 104-46-16 with a SV% over that time of .925.

Elliott was brought over to try and salvage a Calgary goaltending situation that has been abysmal since Miikka Kiprusoff retired in 2013. The 31 year old Ontario product is in the final year of a 3 year deal paying him $2.5 million dollars a season. Calgary also has seasoned backup Chad Johnson under contract as well.
