*I believe the TSN broadcast is restricted to those in the Jets region so those in Calgary will be unable to watch the game. I’m not 100% sure though.

The preseason schedule kicked off last night with a couple of losses to the Edmonton Oilers. The bright side is that Jon Gillies and Brian Elliott looked solid in their respective nets.

Last season the Flames won the season series over the Jets two games to one but tonight’s game will likely have very few regular roster players from either side.

This is the Jets’ first game of the preseason meaning they will likely be composed of young players, while the Flames will probably counter with much of the same.

Early indications seem as though Chad Johnson and David Rittich will split goaltending duties for the Flames. Also sounding like the majority of the players in tonight’s game will be players that were in Edmonton last night with the addition of a few of yesterday’s scratches.

Altogether, there’s not too much to preview for tonight’s game but we will be posting the confirmed lineups once they are announced later today. Stay tuned!
