Just when you thought the book on Wideman Gate was closed, it opens up again.

News broke today that the NHL is suing the Player's Union over Dennis Wideman's reduced suspension.

This seems to be the mess that won't go away. The league is angry over the reduced suspension and the fact that Don Henderson still is out of hockey due to the hit from Wideman. Wideman served 19 of his 20 game suspension and then had the monetary portion of the suspension reduced to 10 games by an independent arbiter. We'll keep you updated on any and all developments regarding this story.
