The Capitals staved off elimination on home ice with 30 saves from Braden Holtby while Alex Ovechkin picked up a goal and an assist.

Nashville Predators 1 @ San Jose Sharks 5

Sharks lead series 3-2

Patrick Marleau, Joe Pavelski, and Joe Thornton each had 2 points as the Sharks pushed the pesky Predators to the brink of elimination.

After two overtime wins by Tampa Bay in Brooklyn, they have their first opportunity to close out the Islanders on Sunday.
