A name has appeared in the Flames coaching search and it's former Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo.

The Flames fired Bob Hartley this off season and Yeo is the first legit name attached to the Flames coaching search. Multiple outlets have the Ducks asking about Yeo's services as well, so Calgary has some competition for the fired Wild coach. Yeo spent 4 1/2 seasons in Minnesota and got the Wild to the playoffs in 3 of those seasons. He was fired this year after 55 games. His career record is 173-132. The Flames do need Minnesota's permission to speak with him seeing when he was fired, Yeo was still under contract for another year. His Minnesota deal expires at the end of 2017.
