2016 Stanley Cup Playoff Update

No, the Flames didn't make playoffs this year, but it's hockey and most of us are probably still watching the post-season anyway. Here's your weekly update.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Just because the Calgary Flames aren't in this years playoff race doesn't mean we aren't watching and aren't invested in some small way (IE: Kris Russell and the Dallas Stars are making a push to get a better draft pick for the Flames.)

So here's a recap of what's gone on in the playoffs so far.

Last Nights Scores

St. Louis Blues 3 @ Chicago Blackhawks 2 (Blues lead series 2-1)
Tampa Bay Lightning 0 @ Detroit Red Wings 2 (Lightning leads series 2-1)
Florida Panthers 3 @ NY Islanders 4 (OT) (Islanders lead series 2-1)
Nashville Predators 3 @ Anaheim Ducks 2 (Predators lead series 2-0)

Today's Games

Washington Capitals @ Philadelphia Flyers
LA Kings @ San Jose Sharks
Dallas Stars @ Minnesota Wild

Notes

It would not hurt my feelings too much if the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, and the LA Kings were eliminated in the first round.

Player Of The Night

Canadian-born Thomas Hickey for his game winning goal for the Islanders, his first playoff goal.
